Following the 1999 Marmara Earthquake, this insurance system, which came into effect in 2000, is implemented by the Natural Disaster Insurance Institution (DASK).

Land use correction is made to reflect the real situation by changing the property type information (i.e., "cins") of a real estate (such as land, plot, or field) registered in the title deed.

Thanks to the zoning plan, it is determined in advance how a settlement will grow, where houses will be built, and which areas will be park, road or school areas.

In the region, lands with the phrase "ifrazı yapılmış" or "ifraz edilebilir" have the highest investment value.
